From the Board

Welcome to the Blue Angels Foundation website. Here you will find key information and points of contact for each of our events. We hope your schedule allows you to join us this year in Houston, Annapolis, San Francisco, or Amelia Island. Please click on each tab to learn more about each of these events.

The BAF partners with more than 50 corporations and foundations to raise awareness and funding for the wounded warrior community. Specifically, the BAF runs events to support the “continuum of care” …transition housing, education, networking for employment and resolving Post Traumatic Stress. In recent years, a primary focus has been raising awareness about veteran suicide and doing all we can to send wounded warriors through PTS protocols.

The BAF is an all-volunteer Board composed of former Blue Angels and Honorary Blue Angels. Our governing philosophy is to give back to the next generation of warriors who have sacrificed so much to preserve our freedoms. Since 9.11, the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan have resulted in more than 7,000 killed in action, more than 52,000 wounded in action, 1700 major limb amputations, and it is reported that more than 500,000 suffer from PTS and/or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

In 2022, the BAF was proud to receive Charity Navigator’s Four-Star rating with an overall score of 100/100. This is an important rating as it speaks to the “stewardship” we aim to have over the grants and donations the BAF receives.

To the 50 plus companies and foundations and the thousands of individual donors the BAF says “thank you” for your confidence in our team and for your support of our mission, particularly in resolving PTS and SAVING LIVES. There is nothing more powerful than knowing one has helped SAVE a LIFE and together we are saving hundreds.

Please enjoy the new website and come see us in 2024.

Glad to be here!

Scott “Intake” Kartvedt,
President of the BAF
